McKinney Dining Room Design with Wallpaper

Our lovely clients wanted to lighten and brighten their home and infuse color and that included the dining room. We created a bespoke look with wallpaper, paint, and the prettiest fabrics!

Take a look at the before photo of the dining room before we redesigned it. The room was painted with Sherwin Williams Shoji White in the photo below. This gave us the perfect neutral and warm background for all the beautiful colors and finishes.

With a great wall color we decorated the room from the floor up. The soft, wool rug adds texture and a little sheen. It’s a handwoven rug so it’s not perfectly straight which adds character and prevents the room from feeling rigid.

We love dining room designs with pizazz so we incorporated this bold wallpaper with the heron in the photo above. It’s framed with gold molding which add the perfect element of warmth against the cool green and blue.

The buffet is understated elegance so that the wallpaper is the star of the show. We picked up the gray color of the rug with the gray marble lamps with brass details.

And how about those drapes?! We hung them high to keep the scale of the high ceiling. The fabric has a timeless print and it adds color and elegance to the room and the gold drapery hardware keeps the gold and brass consistent.

The beautiful crystal chandelier with brass details is light and ethereal and the wall art adds color and texture.

We enjoyed creating this dining room for the busy family who lives here and will enjoy many holidays and celebrations in this special room.
